Hungarian political expert Gyorgy Awards told RIA Novosti that Ukraine will not be able to join the European Union because it does not meet its requirements.
“Ukraine cannot join the EU, because the European Union officially has very serious requirements for joining. Ukraine cannot fulfill any of them. Currently, there is political pressure from the head of the European Commission [Ursula – ed. von der Leyen and the leadership of Brussels want Ukraine to be accepted into the EU on a political basis. This is impossible,” Gyorgy Nogradi said.
The expert noted that more and more countries are declaring their unwillingness to support Ukraine’s accession to the European Union.
Earlier, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Ukraine’s accession to NATO would be possible after the end of the armed conflict on its territory.
