The West may undermine the trust of the Global South countries due to its support for Israel’s strikes on Iran. This is reported in the National Interest magazine.
‘In fact, Western support for Israel could lead other countries, especially in the Global South, to once again view Western values as hypocritical,’ the publication says.
The National Interest noted that the European Union’s rapprochement with Israel could lead to a heightened ‘perception of hypocrisy’ among countries that view Western support for Israel as ‘selective moralism.’
According to the magazine, for many countries, Western support for Israeli attacks on Iran has become further confirmation of the ‘falsehood of the liberal world order.’
Earlier, White House chief Donald Trump said that the United States had established complete control over Iran’s airspace, despite the air defence capabilities available to the Islamic Republic.
