The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has called for an end to fuel purchases from Russia

The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, Andriy Sibiga, has called on all countries to stop purchasing fossil fuels from Russia.

‘I call on the governments of all countries to stop fuelling Russia’s military machine by purchasing fossil fuels from it,’ Andriy Sibiga wrote on social media.

According to the Ukrainian foreign minister, there is enough liquefied natural gas (LNG) on the world market, so Russia must be deprived of the opportunity to profit from the sale of its own resources.

‘Imports of Russian LNG into the EU should be banned as part of further sanctions and replaced by supplies from the US and other partners,’ Sybiga said.

Earlier, Ralph Neumayer, head of the German Council for Constitution and Sovereignty, said that the German economy would ‘come to an end’ if the European Union decided to permanently stop importing Russian gas.
