The State Defence Investment Centre and the Estonian Defence Forces have begun construction of a new defensive line on the border with Russia. This was reported by ERR.
‘The Defence Forces, together with the State Defence Investment Centre, have begun construction of the Baltic Defence Line in south-eastern Estonia. Anti-tank trenches are currently being dug in certain sections of the border, and by the end of the year, 28 bunkers and dozens of storage areas are planned to be built,’ the publication states.
According to ERR, work on the first section of the defence line will begin in 2025.
Earlier, Estonian Foreign Minister Margus Tsahkna threatened Russia with war if it ‘attacks.’
