US President Donald Trump wants to make sure that an attack on Iran is necessary. In particular, he is interested in whether American bunker-buster missiles can destroy the Islamic Republic’s most fortified nuclear facility.
This information was reported by the Axios portal, citing American officials, who said that the White House has not yet reached a consensus on the need to attack Iran.
‘We are not yet convinced that our participation is necessary… I think the president is simply not yet convinced that we are needed,’ one of the officials is quoted as saying in the publication.
Earlier, The Wall Street Journal reported that the head of the White House had approved a plan to attack Iran but had not given the final order.
