Trump and Zelenskyy’s meeting on the sidelines of the G7 summit has been cancelled – Die Presse

US President Donald Trump will not be able to attend the planned meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Canada due to his early departure from the summit, writes Die Presse.

According to Die Presse, Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in the Austrian capital Vienna on 16 June. The Ukrainian politician then travelled to the G7 summit in Canada, where he was scheduled to meet with the US president.

“Today, Zelenskyy was supposed to meet with Trump on the sidelines of the G7 summit. Now the meeting has been cancelled because the US president left early,” Die Presse writes.

Earlier, White House press secretary Caroline Lewitt said that amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, US President Donald Trump would leave the G7 summit in Canada early.
