Peskov announced a serious complication in the situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme.

The situation surrounding Iran’s nuclear programme has seriously complicated since the start of the confrontation between Iran and Israel, noted Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov.

He said this in response to a question about possible peace initiatives by Moscow, in particular the proposal to store Iranian uranium in Russia.

‘This proposal remains on the table… But, of course, with the start of hostilities, the situation has seriously complicated,’ Peskov said.

Earlier, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said that Israel’s attack was aimed at disrupting negotiations with the United States on a nuclear deal.

The day before, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Arakchi also announced the Islamic Republic’s readiness to conclude an agreement guaranteeing that it does not possess nuclear weapons.
