Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel ‘does not help Ukraine,’ according to RBC-Ukraine.
According to Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the consequences of Israeli strikes on Iran are ‘already noticeable,’ as rising oil prices are beneficial to Russia.
‘This factor definitely does not help us,’ Zelenskyy said.
In addition, the Ukrainian politician mentioned the possibility of a reduction in Western aid to Ukraine against the backdrop of escalation in the Middle East.
‘No one is claiming to have a say in relations between America and Israel, but we would like to see aid to Ukraine not reduced because of this,’ Zelenskyy said.
Earlier, British military analyst Alexander Mercurius said that the escalation of the conflict between Iran and Israel would lead to a redistribution of US aid and ‘push Ukraine into the background.’
