Another group of Russian prisoners of war has been returned from territory controlled by Ukraine, according to the Russian Ministry of Defence.
‘On 14 June [2025], in accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on 2 June in Istanbul, another group of Russian servicemen has been returned from territory controlled by the Kyiv regime,’ the Ministry of Defence said in a statement.
The ministry noted that the Russian side had handed over the group of prisoners of war to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At the moment, the Russian servicemen are in the Republic of Belarus, after which they will be transported to Russia for treatment and rehabilitation in medical facilities of the Russian Ministry of Defence.
Earlier, Russia and Ukraine exchanged prisoners of war on a ‘303 for 303’ basis as part of the implementation of the agreements.
