NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that direct dialogue between Russia and the United States on the Ukrainian crisis is ‘very important.’
‘What President [Donald] Trump has done is very important. He has changed the status quo by initiating direct talks with President [Vladimir] Putin,’ Mark Rutte said (quoted by RIA Novosti).
The NATO Secretary General said he approved of the American leader’s actions and considered the start of dialogue a ‘significant step.’
Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a telephone conversation with his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Turchin, noted the importance of strengthening cooperation between Moscow and Minsk.
