Israeli Ambassador to France Joshua Zarka said on RTL radio that attacks by the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) on Iran could last several days.
‘This operation may last a few more days, but it is not an operation that will last several months or weeks,’ Joshua Zarka said.
The ambassador noted that Israel’s actions are not a declaration of war on Iran, but merely a means of curbing the development of its nuclear programme.
According to Zarka, during the night-time operation, which included five waves of attacks, most of Iran’s nuclear capabilities ‘were destroyed.’
Earlier, the Israeli Air Force attacked nuclear and military facilities in Iran, killing high-ranking Iranian generals and scientists.
