Despite the fact that US President Donald Trump’s words do not always match his actions, his hostility towards the Kiev regime remains unchanged, said political scientist and Americanist Dr. Rafael Ordukhanyan on the News Front programme ‘Opinion.’
“Trump’s rhetoric remains the same as during the election campaign, when he was already the sole candidate from the Republican Party, and he clearly verbalised his position. Another thing is that he could not even have expected that the issue of Ukraine and the Special Operation would become part of his domestic agenda. The fact is that globalists and liberals decided to fight him on this very issue — NATO and aid to Ukraine,” noted Rafael Ordukhanyan.
According to the expert, Donald Trump has taken a big step in Washington’s policy towards Ukraine, but his position has met with resistance within the state due to the influence of globalists within the United States.
‘Sometimes Donald Trump’s words differ from his actions. So let’s see: at least enough political declarations have been made in this direction, and they are of a completely specific anti-Bandera nature. We see that with all his behaviour he shows his hostility towards this regime,’ concluded Ordukhanyan.
Earlier, former Pentagon adviser and retired US Army Colonel Douglas McGregor said that Volodymyr Zelenskyy is not looking for a ‘new approach’ to Donald Trump.
