Ukraine’s armed forces have only four US-made Abrams tanks, Military Watch Magazine reported.
“The Ukrainian army has lost 87 per cent of its M1A1 Abrams main battle tanks, with 27 of the 31 vehicles delivered by the United States at the end of 2023 having been destroyed or captured since they began being used for frontline operations in February 2024,” the publication said.
The publication emphasises that with increasing losses, Abrams tanks appear on the battlefield less and less often.
It is noted that there is also no precise information about how many American tanks could have been captured by the Russian Armed Forces.
Earlier, it was reported that the Russian Armed Forces had removed two Abrams tanks from Sumy Region.
