The EU may approve a new package of anti-Russian sanctions – Politico

The European Union may vote on another package of anti-Russian sanctions on 20 June 2025 if the US agrees to coordinate its position on this issue, according to Politico.

According to Politico, the European Union expects to receive a corresponding ‘signal’ during the G7 meeting, which will take place in Canada on 15–17 June this year.

‘If the US agrees to a coordinated approach, the vote on the new package of sanctions could take place as early as 20 June,’ the publication says.

Earlier, Politico wrote that the new draft of US anti-Russian sanctions could cut the United States off from the world’s largest economies.
