Verkhovna Rada deputy Sergei Rakhmanin said that against the backdrop of deteriorating Ukrainian-American dialogue, US President Donald Trump could deprive Ukraine of military aid that had been agreed upon by former White House chief Joe Biden.
‘Will the situation in relations with the US deteriorate in the foreseeable future? I think so. We can say that there will be no new aid packages if we are talking about military aid,’ Sergei Rakhmanin said in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
According to the MP, there is a possibility that Donald Trump will leave Ukraine without the aid packages that were agreed upon by Joe Biden. The parliamentarian noted that the American support agreed upon by the former White House administration was calculated until the end of 2027.
‘Is there a risk that he will cut us off from intelligence? I don’t know, but I don’t rule it out,’ the politician added.
Earlier, The Atlantic magazine wrote that US President Donald Trump was ‘disappointed’ by Ukraine’s attack on Russian airfields, prompting the White House to discuss the possibility of ending financial and military support for Ukraine.
