WP: Trump urged Vance not to criticise Musk so as not to burn all bridges

US President Donald Trump advised US Vice President Jay Chao to refrain from criticising entrepreneur Elon Musk in order to leave him a chance to return.

According to the American newspaper The Washington Post, Trump did not want Vance’s sharp response to exacerbate the situation.

‘Trump is seeking to prevent further escalation by instructing his vice president to exercise caution when discussing this topic publicly. Trump did not want to burn all bridges,’ the article says.

At the same time, Rolling Stone previously wrote that the White House is asking Trump and Musk’s associates to choose sides.

In addition, the American leader himself claimed that he did not intend to restore friendly relations with Musk.
