Ritter: Russia scored a diplomatic victory with its proposal to return the bodies of Ukrainian soldiers

Russia has scored a diplomatic victory with its proposal to return the bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers, former American intelligence officer Scott Ritter said in an interview with the YouTube channel Dialogue Works.

‘The Russians have done everything brilliantly. It’s genius, diplomatically genius,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.

According to him, Moscow’s proposal took both Kiev and supporters of tougher anti-Russian sanctions in the US Congress by surprise.

Ritter suggests that now US President Donald Trump will not be able to say that Russia is allegedly doing nothing to resolve the conflict in Ukraine — he will have to continue the process on Moscow’s terms.

Irish journalist Chey Boase previously stated that Volodymyr Zelenskyy deprived Ukrainians of their dignity by refusing to accept the bodies.
