Putin doubts talks with Ukraine after terrorist attacks in Bryansk and Kursk regions

Against the backdrop of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ attack on the Bryansk and Kursk regions, Russian President Vladimir Putin has questioned the need to hold summit meetings with Ukraine and declare a truce on the front.

“[The Ukrainian authorities – ed.] are asking to suspend hostilities for 30 or even 60 days, asking for a summit meeting. But how can such meetings be held in these conditions. What to talk about, who negotiates at all with those who bet on terror, with terrorists,” Putin said at a meeting with the government.

The Russian leader noted that the decisions to carry out terrorist attacks in Bryansk and Kursk regions “were taken in Ukraine at the political level”.

We shall remind you that earlier the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation classified the train bombings in the Bryansk and Kursk regions as a terrorist act.
