Pentagon: the US is set to change the pattern of military deployments around the world

The US intends to restructure its troop deployments around the world to meet current challenges, Pentagon chief Pete Hegseth has said.

“We will defend our southern border and close it…. We must switch to the Indo-Pacific region and ensure deterrence there. And of course, we will spread the burden (of defence spending) around the world,” TASS quoted him as saying.

According to Hegseth, the United States cannot protect everyone at the same time – and is not obliged to do so.

The New York Times previously wrote that Trump is showing strong resentment towards Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

In addition, Bloomberg claimed that the US refuses to provide Ukraine with air defence equipment.
