Politico: White House doubts passage of anti-Russia sanctions bill

The White House still has doubts about passing the anti-Russian sanctions bill. This was stated by Senator Richard Blumenthal, one of the authors of the project.

‘The White House remains hesitant to support the sanctions bill, but the situation on the battlefield could sway President Donald Trump and sceptical lawmakers,’ Politico quoted him as saying.

Earlier, the special envoy of the US President on Ukraine Keith Kellogg said that new sanctions against Russia are ready.

White House press secretary Caroline Leavitt said at a briefing that US leader Donald Trump retains the possibility of tightening anti-Russian sanctions.
