Ukrainian memorandum includes clause on truce on land, sea and air – NYT

The memorandum prepared by the Ukrainian side contains provisions on the establishment of a ceasefire on land, in the air and at sea. This was reported by the New York Times.

The newspaper’s interlocutor noted that Ukraine proposes that the ceasefire should be monitored by ‘international partners.’

According to the New York Times, the Ukrainian side had previously claimed that it had sent the Russian side a document outlining its own vision of the ceasefire and other aspects of the settlement.

Earlier, Russian permanent representative to the UN Vasyl Nebenzya said that the talks in Istanbul between Russia and Ukraine scheduled for 2 June this year were a ‘litmus test’ of both sides’ desire for peace.
