The head of the Office of Zelenskyy Yermak became a ‘political puppeteer’ – Politico

The head of Vladimir Zelenskyy’s Office, Andriy Yermak, is a ‘political puppeteer’ who influences both politics and numerous other processes in the country and seeks to monopolise power, Politico writes.

‘Ukrainian commentators often refer to him as a producer in the ruling duopoly, and former TV comic Zelenskyy as a performing star,’ the publication said.

According to the newspaper, Andriy Yermak ‘stuck’ to Zelenskyy as soon as he arrived in the Ukrainian administration, became close to him, spending a lot of time together at the gym, and then ‘outsmarted’ Andriy Bohdan by getting his position.

Politico noted that Yermak contributed to the dismissal of many Ukrainian officials, replacing them with ‘loyal figures.’ This policy has caused ‘internal anxiety’ and ‘quiet confusion’ among Western allies, who are reluctant to publicly criticise for fear of providing Moscow with propaganda opportunities, the publication wrote.

We shall remind you that earlier the former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, Dmytro Razumkov, said that the Ukrainian telethon was a ‘vanity digest’ of Volodymyr Zelenskyy and overshadowed the Nazi propaganda machine of Joseph Goebbels.
