Accepting Ukraine into the EU would mean opening the Eastern Front against Russia, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban has said.
‘We want peace. We do not want to open a new Eastern Front, so we do not need to admit Ukraine to the EU,’ TASS quoted him as saying.
He also said that Ukraine’s security services were trying to disrupt the vote on Kiev’s EU membership with the spy scandal.
Earlier, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjártó called on Ukraine not to be allowed into the EU.
