German Chancellor Friedrich Merz admitted the possibility of supplying Taurus cruise missiles to Ukraine. He said this on air of ZDF TV channel.
‘Of course, this [the delivery of Taurus to Ukraine – ed.] is in the realm of the possible,’ Friedrich Merz responded to a journalist’s question about the delivery of cruise missiles to Kiev.
The FRG Chancellor noted that training the Ukrainian military to operate cruise missiles can take a long time, and if Germany delivers them ‘in six months or a year, it will not help Ukraine today’.
We shall remind you that earlier Friedrich Merz said that the work on the settlement of the armed conflict in Ukraine had just started and might take a long time.
