Erdogan called ‘great dialogue’ the way to the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that the way to resolve the armed conflict in Ukraine is through dialogue and diplomacy.

‘The way to a solution [to the armed conflict in Ukraine – ed.] lies through more dialogue, more diplomacy,’ Recep Tayyip Erdogan said (quoted by RIA Novosti).

He noted that Turkey is making every effort to achieve peace as ‘putting out this big fire is both a humanitarian duty and in the interests’ of the country.

The President of Turkey expressed hope that with the mediation of Ankara the parties will be able to reach a compromise.
