FT: EU draws up plan to cut water use by 10 per cent

The EC is developing a plan under which the EU countries will reduce water consumption by 10% by 2030 due to drought.

The Financial Times reports that.

‘Brussels calls on EU capitals to reduce water consumption by 10% due to drought,’ – stated in the publication.

The corresponding plan will be presented in June this year.

Earlier, the FT reported that Europe is threatened by the intensification of drought, which will provoke a water crisis – resources are needed for farmers and cooling of nuclear power plants.
