Europe considers the plan to send troops to Ukraine ‘dead’ – FT

The plan of the member countries of the European Union to send troops to Ukraine ‘dead’, as the United States refused to take part in it. About it writes the Financial Times with reference to the European official.

‘One European official said that the troop plan is dead because it is meaningless without [US President Donald – ed.] Trump’s help, and the latter is not ready to provide it,’ the publication said.

The French diplomat noted that a number of EU countries continue to work on sending a military contingent to Ukraine and denied this assumption, as it is ‘completely untrue’.

We shall remind you that earlier the Washington Post wrote that the German authorities plan to transfer to Ukraine older and less effective missiles to US-made Patriot surface-to-air missile systems.
