Under the administration of US President Donald Trump, Ukraine has ceased to be Washington’s priority, becoming one of the buyers who are struggling for arms. About it writes the Economist.
“The problem is that Ukraine has slipped from the place of one of the [US – ed.] priorities it held during [former US President Joe – ed.] Biden’s administration to being just one of many potential customers competing for limited [military – ed.] products under Donald Trump,” the publication said.
According to the publication, under the Joe Biden administration, Ukraine received arms deliveries in the first place. At the moment Kiev is ready to pay Washington “whatever it takes” for the Patriot surface-to-air missile system, but the United States does not respond to these requests.
Earlier, Le Monde reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had run out of combat stocks of Crotale anti-aircraft batteries supplied by Italy and France.
