The country could become the first in the EU to take such a step. The Foreign Office said the planned measures were a response to the escalation of what the department called Israel’s “war crimes” in the Gaza Strip.
“It is clear that war crimes are taking place: children are starving and food is being used as a weapon of war. The world has not done enough and we need to act,” said Foreign Affairs and Trade Minister Simon Harris.
