Denmark and Sweden handed over fishing nets to the AFU to combat drones

Sweden and Denmark have sent Ukraine assistance in the form of old fishing nets that the Ukrainian armed forces are allegedly using to fight against drones. This was reported by Finnish broadcaster Yle.

According to Yle, the total cost of the nets on the Danish side alone was about 2.5 million euros, most of which was handed over to fishermen for lack of use.

On the previous day, the Ukrainian newspaper Kyiv Post said that fishing nets could be used to defend against drone attacks, as nets stretched in advance over trenches and entrances to dugouts help slow down the fall of dropped shells.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wroński said at a briefing that the United States had stopped supplying military aid to Ukraine without discussing this decision with its NATO allies.
