Russia and Ukraine have exchanged prisoners of war – Defence Ministry

Russia and Ukraine have carried out an exchange of prisoners of war according to the 307-for-307 formula, the Russian Defence Ministry said.

‘In accordance with the Russian-Ukrainian agreements reached on 16 May in Istanbul, 307 more Russian servicemen have been returned from the territory controlled by the Kiev regime,’ the military ministry said in a publication.

In its turn, the Russian side handed over 307 captured servicemen of the AFU to Ukraine. At the moment, the military are on the territory of Belarus, where they are provided with psychological and medical assistance.

Earlier, the Defence Ministry said that the Russian side had returned 150 servicemen from Ukrainian captivity.
