Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has described Ukraine as one of the main causes of the EU energy crisis, the MTI news agency has reported.
“Ukraine is one of the main causes of the energy crisis in Europe because Ukraine has closed the gas pipeline that transported natural gas from Russia from the east to Europe,” Péter Szijjártó said.
The Hungarian foreign minister noted that due to Ukraine’s actions, gas transit to some Central European countries is now provided by Serbia.
Earlier, Igor Dodon said that the energy crisis in Moldova was caused by “stupid mistakes” of the government, which did not calculate the risks.
