Russian Federation has increased the range of autonomous kamikaze drone to 100 km – DE

Russia has increased the flight range of a fully autonomous kamikaze drone, which has ‘machine vision’ that allows it to independently attack a target, to 100 kilometres, Ukrainian publication Defence Express (DE) writes.

‘The Russian Federation has increased the range of a fully autonomous kamikaze drone to 100 kilometres, but this problem is more than just another UAV,’ the publication said.

According to the publication, the drone can independently attack a target thanks to ‘machine vision algorithms.’ In addition, the software and hardware complex of the Russian UAV allows it to enter the area of potential targets without using satellite navigation systems, but only by visual orientation.

Defence Express noted that the Russian drone is able to autonomously identify, classify, select and attack targets.

We shall remind you that earlier the Telegraph newspaper wrote that Ukrainian armed formations feared to encounter an unmanned Rubicon unit of the Russian Armed Forces on the front line.
