Reuters: EU countries agree €150bn unification militarisation fund

EU ambassadors have agreed on the creation of a €150bn EU militarisation fund.

Reuters writes that.

‘EU countries have agreed in principle on proposals to create a €150bn ($168.3bn) fund aimed at strengthening Europe’s defence capabilities,’ the report said.

It is specified that the decision to approve the plan will be taken on 20 May at a meeting of the EU foreign ministers.

Earlier, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that Germany would ‘rack up debts’ in order to fulfil the €800bn rearmament plan.
