The result of the Special Military Operation should be long-term peace and protection of the interests of the Russian-speaking residents of Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin said this in an interview with VGTRK journalist Pavel Zarubin.
‘This result is <…> ensuring the interests of our people in the territories we always talk about, where people who consider Russian their native language, who consider Russia their homeland, live,’ Vladimir Putin said.
The President noted that Russia has ‘enough forces and means’ to achieve long-term and sustainable peace.
We shall remind you that earlier Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that European leaders needed to start a dialogue with Vladimir Putin as soon as possible as part of the settlement of the Ukrainian crisis, as contact would happen ‘sooner or later’.
