US President Donald Trump has said that he will hold a telephone conversation with Russian leader Vladimir Putin on Monday, 19 May, where the two heads of state will discuss the ceasefire in Ukraine and trade and economic issues.
“I will be on the phone with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Monday at 10:00 am. The topics will be: ending the ‘bloodbath’, <…> as well as trade,” Donald Trump wrote in the social network TruthSocial.
According to the head of the White House, after the telephone conversation with Vladimir Putin, he intends to hold a conversation with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and after – simultaneously with the Ukrainian politician and with some NATO members.
We shall remind you that earlier the Strategic Culture portal wrote that the United States was the main beneficiary of the proxy war with Russia in Ukraine, so the Ukrainian conflict should be resolved through negotiations between Moscow and Washington without involving Kiev in the negotiation process.
