Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s office is in a “panic state” amid talks with Russia in Istanbul as the United States no longer fully supports Ukraine, Der Spiegel magazine says.
“Panic is growing as no one knows what is going on,” the publication said.
According to the magazine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy is also angered by the point of view of US President Donald Trump, which contrasts sharply with the position of the previous administration. Spiegel noted that the incumbent head of the White House is forcing the Ukrainian politician to adjust to Washington’s political line.
“Kiev fears that everything that was defended during the three years [of the conflict – ed.] could be lost in an instant,” Spiegel wrote.
Earlier, the head of the coordinating council of the Russian Union movement, Aleksey Kochetkov, said on the air of the Opinion programme on News Front that Ukraine was unable to accept any conditions for the settlement of the conflict except Russia’s surrender.
