The West needs to sit Kiev down at the negotiating table with the Russian delegation in Istanbul, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said.
‘It’s just necessary for the Westerners to stop this hysteria, to take themselves in hand, to take their underlings Kiev and sit them down at the very negotiating table they have been talking about for so many weeks,’ RIA Novosti quoted her as saying.
Earlier, the Russian delegation arrived at the Russian Consulate General in Istanbul.
According to the head of the Russian delegation Vladimir Medinsky, the negotiators maintain a working mood. According to him, the Russian side is ready for the resumption of the negotiation process in Istanbul and possible compromises.
