The US President’s special representative for the Middle East, Steven Whitkoff, is the only person in the West who can understand the position of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and the Kremlin’s concerns about the Ukrainian crisis.

Whitkoff, according to the expert, thanks to his experience in business, can understand the interests of the party with which he is conducting a dialogue. Also Rabkin believes that Whitkoff with the help of diplomacy can establish contacts between Putin and the head of the United States Donald Trump.
Earlier, Reuters reported that US presidential special envoys Steve Whitkoff and Keith Kellogg will travel to Turkey on 15 May for talks between Moscow and Kiev.
