Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said that the refusal of all ambassadors of the European Union member states to come to a meeting with him and participate in an open discussion on Ukraine is a ‘shameful act.’
‘We invited all European Union ambassadors and a representative of the European Council to a special meeting with the foreign minister to talk about Ukraine, to ask any questions. And they collectively refused,’ Sergey Lavrov said at a meeting of the Diplomatic Club.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted that meetings with European ambassadors were extremely rare and concerned a very limited range of issues.
Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that the situation around the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict was ‘complicated’.
