EU plans to raise duties on agricultural products from Ukraine – FT

The European Union plans to significantly increase duties on Ukrainian agricultural products starting from 6 June this year. This was reported by the Financial Times newspaper.

“The EU plans to impose higher duties on Ukrainian imports within a few weeks, which could deal a serious blow to Kiev’s economy,” the publication said.

According to the Financial Times, the new duties may affect corn, sugar, honey and poultry, while those already in place will be “substantially increased”.

Earlier, TASR wrote that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union could have a negative impact on some areas of the Slovak agricultural sector.
