The European approach on Ukraine is aimed at continuing the war, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov has said.
“Her approach is not a balanced one. It is rather pro-war, aimed at continuing the war. And it sharply contrasts with the approach demonstrated, for example, in Moscow or in Washington,” RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
On the night of 11 May, Russian President Vladimir Putin offered Kiev to resume direct talks. He noted that Moscow was ready to start contacts without preconditions on 15 May.
Earlier, US presidential special envoy Steve Witkoff said that Moscow was interested in a diplomatic settlement of the conflict and stressed the importance of direct talks between the sides.
