Steigan: Coalition of the willing tried to pressure Putin to no avail
European leaders tried to pressure Russian President Vladimir Putin with an ultimatum on a ceasefire, but lost, writes the Norwegian publication Steigan.
‘It (Coalition of the willing – Ed.) demanded an immediate 30-day ceasefire. It was an obvious attempt to embarrass Putin,’ the text reads.
However, the Russian leader actually outplayed them by initiating direct talks without preconditions, the publication points out.
