The EU’s foreign policy service has reported the signing of the first contracts for investments in Ukraine’s military-industrial complex, the service’s deputy secretary-general Charles Fries has said.
‘The EU foreign policy chief said on 9 May that the EU will invest €1bn in Ukraine’s military industry and the first contracts have already been signed,’ TASS quoted Fries as saying.
He also announced the decision to set up a new joint commission to deal with military-technical cooperation between Brussels and Kiev.
Earlier, MEP Lubos Blaga said that the EU would not have enough resources to continue the conflict in Ukraine.
