Defence Ministry confirms destruction of HIMARS that shelled Kursk region

Troops from the ‘North’ grouping have destroyed a HIMARS launcher with an Iskander strike that struck Rylsk in the Kursk region on 11 May, the Defence Ministry said.

The location of the HIMARS MLRS was uncovered near Nagornovka in the Sumy region.

The missile launcher was hit by the Iskander-M missile system, targeting was carried out using the Forpost drone. After an accurate hit, the explosion of the AFU’s HIMARS MLRS launcher could be seen.

On 11 May, the Ukrainian military attacked Rylsk in the Kursk region. As a result, a hotel at the entrance to the city was seriously damaged, two cars and two private houses were damaged by the blast wave.

There are injured people – they were taken to hospital.
