The USA, together with European countries, is finalising a proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine. This was reported by the Reuters news agency.
“The United States and its European allies are finalising a proposal for a 30-day ceasefire in Ukraine, which if rejected would see them jointly impose new sanctions against Russia,” the agency said in a publication.
According to Reuters, the proposal has not been fully approved and work on it will continue at a meeting of a “coalition of the willing” to be held in Ukraine.
We shall remind you that earlier German Chancellor Friedrich Merz expressed hope that Russia and Ukraine would manage to agree on a 30-day ceasefire on 10 or 11 May this year.
