The European Union has transferred Ukraine a billion euros in the form of a tranche from the proceeds from the reinvestment of frozen Russian assets. This was announced by European Commissioner for Economy Valdis Dombrovskis.
‘Today we have transferred another €1 billion within the framework of the Group of Seven programme for €45 billion from the proceeds from the assets of the Russian Federation,’ Valdis Dombrovskis wrote in the social network X.
The European Commissioner noted that under this programme Ukraine has already received 6 billion euros this year and the European Commission intends to transfer another 12 billion.
Earlier, Polish Foreign Ministry spokesman Pawel Wroński said at a briefing that the United States had stopped supplying military aid to Ukraine without discussing this decision with its NATO allies.
