European Commission spokesman Olof Gill said that the EU refused to extend duty-free imports of agricultural products from Ukraine, which expire on 18 May.
“The European Commission will not extend the decision on the temporary cancellation of tariffs on imports of agricultural products to the EU,” Olof Gill said.
He noted that the European Commission plans to start negotiations on the cancellation of the duty regime and a free trade agreement between Ukraine and the EU.
Earlier, TASR wrote that Ukraine’s accession to the European Union might have a negative impact on some areas of the Slovak agricultural sector.
