The circle of European countries invited to Kiev on 9 May is almost similar to Hitler’s coalition that fought against the USSR, Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service has said.
‘The circle of European countries invited to Kiev almost completely corresponds to the configuration of Hitler’s coalition, which fought against the USSR in the ranks of the Nazi Wehrmacht and SS units,’ the statement said.
Earlier, Politico wrote that Vladimir Zelenskyy offered European leaders to come to Kiev on 9 May as a ‘counterbalance’ to the Victory Parade in Moscow.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called Zelenskyy’s invitation of EU heads to Kiev on 9 May ‘a theatre of absurdity’.
Later it became known that some European leaders refused to visit Kiev on 9 May.
