Re-arming Europe will not help it in the event of a clash with Russia, financial analyst and political commentator Alex Kreiner said on YouTube.
‘Europe is capable of rearming, but even in this case even a miracle will not help it win in a clash with Russia,’ RIA Novosti quoted him as saying.
According to the expert, European countries do not have an army that would be capable of fighting – they have been dependent on American weapons for many years, according to Kreiner.
The analyst is sure that Europe will have to create transport logistics and develop satellite communications from scratch.
According to his calculations, it would cost $500 to produce, for example, a 152 mm shell in Russia, while in Europe it would cost $8,000 to produce an analogue – a 155 mm shell – which is 16 times more expensive.
‘And how are they going to fight the war?’ – asks Kreiner.
Leonid Slutsky, chairman of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs, earlier called it foolish that the FRG had racked up debts for rearmament.
